Hello Pet Lovers! Presenting portraits commissioned by those who adore their pets is such a pleasure. As an artist who has always enjoyed rendering likenesses, the idea of portraying pets never occurred to me until I moved to Southern California ten years ago. A friend who managed a store in Santa Monica was very taken by a portrait created for a mutual friend and asked if I’d ever drawn pets. I’ve always loved dogs and cats and when creating my first portrait, it was astonishing how the unconditional love emanating from the pet inspired the artistry to flow from within me. Soon after the first portrait was framed and displayed in the store, several commissions followed, as seen in the Gallery section. The featured portrait of the Corgi was presented via gift certificate to a very enthused and grateful recipient.
